FPPG Booking Procedure & Conditions
1. Rental Terms
The rental price includes linens and utilities and all
services, other than extras listed on the booking form. The property will
be cleaned before your arrival and upon your departure.
2. Reservation and Deposit
Initial reservation can be made on-line, by fax, by
mail or by telephone. A booking form must be submitted by fax or
mail if not making an on-line reservation. A non-refundable deposit
(except as provided below) of $250.00 is due immediately to secure the
reservation. FPPG accepts all major credit cards. You can pay
on-line or by calling or faxing our office. You may also pay by
check and should make checks payable to FPPG and mail to the address at
the bottom of the page.
3. Security Deposit
A security deposit of $1000, which will be held against
any loss or damage caused to the property, or costs incurred, to be paid
on the same day as the payment of balance. The security deposit is
usually authorized against a valid credit card belonging to the party
leader and will only be charged in the event of evidence of loss or damage
to the property. If paying a security deposit by check, the amount
will be returned to you 7-14 days after your departure, subject to a
satisfactory housekeeping report. Alternatively, you may opt to
purchase Security Deposit Protection (SDP), which offers coverage for
accidental damage up to $3000. The cost for this program is $39, and it is
automatically added to your rental for your convenience. If you do
not wish to purchase SDP, let us know and it will be removed from your
rental.
4. Balance of Payment
a. The balance of the cost is to be paid no later than
30 days prior to arrival date. Where a booking is made within 30 days of
arrival, payment in full must accompany the booking form, including the
security deposit. Where payment in full is not received by the proper
date, the booking will be deemed cancelled.
b. If the booking is cancelled after full payment has
been made, there will be no refund. We strongly recommend that
travel insurance is purchased at the time of booking. For your
convenience, Travel Insurance has been included in your rental, but you
may decline it, if you wish, and it will be removed.
c. If, through circumstances beyond our control, it is
necessary for us to cancel (which would be wholly exceptional) then we
will refund the initial booking fee or any other monies paid, without
interest or further compensation
d. We accept no responsibility whatsoever, and no
payment or other compensation will be payable, if cancellation or changes
to the terms of booking are brought about, or become necessary, due to war
or threat of war, riot, civil commotion, terrorist act, industrial
dispute, natural disaster, fire, flood or adverse weather conditions or
nuclear incident or any other matter outwith our control. In addition, we
will, except as may be paid by the relevant carrier, not be responsible
for closure or congestion of airports, technical problems with
transportation or cancellation or schedule changes by carriers whether
scheduled or charter.
5. Occupancy
The maximum number of persons permitted in three
bedroom properties is 8, four bedroom properties is 10, and in 5 bedroom
is 12. The name (and ages of children) of each renter must be listed on
the Booking Form in keeping with Florida Law. Only those named on
the form shall be permitted to stay at the property. We will require
that any number of persons in excess of these numbers vacate the property,
and it is an express term of this agreement, that the hirer accepts, that
if the excess number are not removed immediately, the contract is
breached, and terminated without compensation or any other payment. The
hirers and all the members will be required to vacate the property.

6. Availability
The property will be available from 4pm on the date of
arrival and must be vacated by 10.30am on the day of departure. A
penalty of one day�s rental may be charged if it is found that guest has
not vacated the property on departure day at the correct time. Pets are
not permitted. No smoking is permitted inside the property. A
charge may be levied to the security deposit if evidence of smoking is
found. While the property will be cleaned on departure, you are
expected to carry out reasonable care, and treat the property carefully
and with respect. It is expected that you will leave the property in a
reasonably clean and orderly condition. Excessive trash or work for the
cleaning crew will result in a charge to be deducted from the security
deposit.
7. Basis of Rental
Properties offered for short-term rental through FPPG
are provided on a self-catering basis. FPPG provides complimentary starter
soap, toilet paper, and trash bags. Once these items are used, it is the
guests� responsibility to replenish them. The Guest may elect to order
groceries and supplies in advance from FPPG at the charges set out.
8. Safety and Liability
We do not accept any liability or responsibility for
any injury caused as a result of the use of our properties or pools. It is
the responsibility of an adult member of the party, to ensure that
children are always properly supervised when in the pool area. Children
ARE NOT permitted in the pool unattended.
9. Insurance
It is the hirer�s responsibility to take out
appropriate insurance to cover all aspects of their trip, and to ensure
that passports, visas and other documents are in order. You are reminded
that there is no equivalent of the NHS in Florida. Although most hospitals
must treat emergencies, thereafter medical care can be extremely
expensive, and we urge you to ensure that all members of your party have
appropriate insurance and that you have proof of that readily available.
10. Booking
a. These conditions and the completed booking form
constitute a contract between the owner of the property and the person
signing the booking form, on behalf of those whose name appear on that
form. We act only as agent between home owner and renter. A contract shall
only exist once the completed booking form and deposit have been received
by us, and a confirmation is issued.
b. Any changes or amendments requested after a Booking
Confirmation has been issued will be charged at $40 per occurrence. We in
no way bind ourselves to accept changes, which we are unable to
accommodate,
11. Accuracy of Information
All information is accurate to the best of our
knowledge, at the time of despatch. The closure of any facility or
withdrawal of any attractions, service of facility mentioned herein, by
reason of factors beyond our reasonable control, is not a matter for which
we accept any responsibility.
12. Complaint or Dissatisfaction
In the unlikely event of a problem arising, it should
be discussed with the local Property Manager first. If not satisfied at
the time, any complaint must be lodged with us, in writing, within 7 days
of the departure date. We will attempt to resolve any dispute, within a
reasonable time. We will not be held liable for the actions of any third
party or public utility, or their inability to provide services, or any
other service provider, over whom we do not exercise direct control. We
will also not be held liable for any problems arising from or brought
about, or become necessary, due to war or threat of war, riot, civil
commotion, terrorist act, industrial dispute, natural disaster, fire,
flood or adverse weather conditions or nuclear incident.
The company makes all reasonable efforts to maintain
each property and its equipment in good working order. Wherever
commercially possible, repairs are performed within 24 hours, but
sometimes delays are inevitable. No refunds are granted for malfunctioning
mechanical or electrical equipment including (but not limited to):
inoperable appliances, air-conditioning units, pools and/or spas. No
refunds will be given for unfavourable weather, early departure, utility
service interruption, construction, or maintenance issues. Additionally,
there are no refunds for faulty recording or playback equipment, TVs,
audio, telecoms, cable reception, computer equipment or internet access.
13. Access
Once the full balance and security deposit have been
paid, you will be issued with detailed directions, and a lock box
combination, giving you access to the keys of the property.
14. Pool Heating
The use of pool heating cannot guarantee the actual
temperature of the water in the pool. This is dependant on many factors,
including the ambient temperature, general weather conditions, use of pool
blanket, and number of people using pool. In severe conditions, you may
not be able to use the pool heating at all. We cannot, therefore,
guarantee that pool heating will actually heat the pool water to a degree,
comfortable enough to swim in.
You must also be aware that, outdoor pool heating will
at best, only take the chill off the water and heat it slightly. It will
not take the temperature to that of an indoor tub or spa. Please be
advised that under no circumstances will pool heat charges be refunded
when the pool heater is functional. If the air temperature drops below 50
degrees Fahrenheit, the heater, although functional, will be unable to
transfer any heat to the pool water.
If an engineer is called at the request of the hirer,
and the heater is found to be functional, there will be a minimum call-out
charge of $50, payable immediately locally, or deducted from your security
deposit.
